Kuwait oil drops to $21.7 per barrel

Kuwait – Mubasher: Kuwait oil price fell on Thursday to $21.7 per barrel, losing $0.94 from $22.64 per barrel a day earlier.

Crude lost $81 pb from a peak at $104 pb which was reached in 2014, with a decline of 78%.

In the first nine months of 2015/2016, Kuwait's oil revenues fell by $20 billion. Kuwait produces around 3 million barrels per day, or 3% of global output.

Kuwait's total revenues till last November amounted to KWD 10.42 billion, against expenditures reaching KWD 11.18 billion, with a deficit of KWD 782 million.
