Kuwait oil up 37 cents to $45.34pb

Kuwait - Mubasher: The price of Kuwait’s crude oil increased 37 cents at the closing of Friday’s trading, reaching $45.34 per barrel, compared to $44.97 on Thursday, according to the price released by the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC).

The price of crude oil in global markets reached a five-week high, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

On Friday, Baker Hughes announced that the US oil rig count rose, for the 8th consecutive week, by 10 to reach 406 rigs in the week ended 19 August.
