Kuwait – Mubasher: Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI) closed a deal to sell its Q8 Europoort refinery in Rotterdam, Netherlands, to Gunover Group Ltd, Kuwait News Agency said, without citing the deal’s value.
Gunover Group will continue the refining operations, while KPI will keep its ownership of the Research and Development Center in Rotterdam.
KPI said “This deal had been concluded after exhaustively reviewing all offers to find the best bidder and reassessing the refinery usage”, adding that “it will keep investing in Europe, namely in storage plants”.
The company owns 5200 plants all over Europe.
