Kuwait – Mubasher: Kuwait’s Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) has signed a deal with Canada’s Pembina to design a petrochemical complex in Alberta, Canada, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported on Sunday.
The joint project will bring about the Kuwait-Canada petrochemicals company, which will boast a capacity of 550,000 tonnes of polypropylene per year, PIC said in a statement.
The deal comes under PIC’s plan to expand both locally and globally, said PIC CEO Mohammed Al Farhoud, according to Kuwait’s official news agency.
Meanwhile, Pembina’s CEO Michael Digler noted that he was looking forward to this deal, which will give a boost to Canada’s petrochemical industries.
PIC and Pembina are “strictly following safety measures and quality performance in all facilities,” KUNA added, citing Digler as saying.
