Mubasher: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Commerce and Industry has spent KWD 15.8 million ($52.01 million) on food supplies and construction materials subsidies in May.
The total amount allocated to food subsidies, including materials, milk, and children nutrition, reached KWD 6.6 million, according to a survey released by the ministry.
Subsidies on milk and children nutrition amounted to KWD 650,000, while the construction materials received KWD 9 million in subsidies.
The number of people registered in the Kuwaiti Supply Department hit 2.084 million.
