Kuwait’s credit banking rises 8.14% in 2015

Kuwait-Mubasher: Public deposits in Kuwait grew 2.2% month-on-month to KWD 5.87 billion in December 2015, according to a report issued by the Central Bank of Kuwait.

The monthly report noted that the credit granted by Kuwaiti banks increased 2.15% or KWD 700 million to reach KWD 33.2 billion in December.

During 2015, the credit volume in Kuwait rose by 8.14% annually to stand at KWD 30.73 billion.

The installment loans in Kuwait levelled up by 0.65% to reach KWD 9.33 billion by the end of December 2015. Meanwhile, the consumption loans inched 0.5% up to KWD 1.19 billion.

The money supply in Kuwait increased to KWD 34.39 billion in December 2015, 2.61% higher from KWD 33.51 billion in November.
