Kuwait’s debt receivables increase 4% in 6M

Mubasher: The debt receivables to the Kuwaiti government enlarged by 4.1% or KWD 54.5 million from April to September 2018 when compared to the debt volume in early April 2018.

Debt receivables increased to KWD 1.39 billion in the first six months of Kuwait’s fiscal year 20108/2019 when compared to KWD 1.34 billion at the beginning of April 2018, according to the finance ministry’s monthly report.

The largest debt receivables to the Kuwaiti government were registered by the oil ministry which recorded KWD 508.5 million, followed by the electricity and water ministry with KWD 290.1 million debts.

Meanwhile, the debts owed by Kuwait’s governments declined by 1.5% to KWD 380.5 million during the first six months of the fiscal year when compared to KWD 386.2 million in early April 2018.
