Kuwait’s exports fall 45% in third quarter

Kuwait – Mubasher: Kuwait's exports amounted to KWD 4.1 billion in the third quarter of 2015, with a 45.1% fall compared with the same period a year ago, according to an economic bulletin issued by Central Statistical Bureau.

Meanwhile, imports were KWD 2.3 billion with a 3.9% increase compared with July-September 2014.

The country’s trade balance surplus amounted to KWD 1.8 billion, down 65.7% from KWD 5.3 billion in July-September 2014.

In the same period, volume of trade decreased 33.9% compared with the third quarter of 2014. Trade of volume was KWD 6.5 billion in July-September 2015 while it was KWD 9.8 billion in July-September 2014, the statistics showed.
