Mubasher: Total Kuwaiti exports rose in the first ten months of 2018 by 36.9%, a survey by Mubasher based on the data of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry showed on Wednesday.
Total Exports totalled KWD 157.3 million between the beginning of January and the end of October, compared with KWD 114.8 million for the same period last year.
The increase in net exports resulted mainly from a surge in Egyptian imports from Kuwait.
Kuwaiti exports increased by 1,788% month-on-month in October to KWD 81.2 million, compared with KWD 4.3 million in September.
Exports also increased by 529% year-on-year, compared with KWD 12.9 million of exports in October 2017.
Arab countries led by Egypt were the top market for Kuwaiti exports with a total share of 94%, with Egypt dominating nearly 90% of exports in October.
During the ten-month period, Arab markets share of Kuwaiti exports represented 75.6% with a value of KWD 119.57 million, with the rest of the world receiving KWD 38.68 million worth of Kuwaiti exports.
