Kuwait – Mubasher: Exports in Kuwait decreased 25.8% during the second quarter of 2016, according to a recent report issued by Kuwait Central Statistical Bureau.
Kuwait’s exports reached KWD 3.56 billion in Q2, while imports totalled KWD 2.36 billion.
The trade balance of Kuwait reported surplus worth KWD 1.2 billion in Q2 as compared with KWD 2.4 billion in the same period last year; a decline of 20.1%.
Kuwait’s trade exchange shrank 17.6% to KWD 5.92 billion in Q2-16 as compared to KWD 7.19 billion in Q2-15.
The report added that trade coverage reached 150.8% in Q2 this year as compared to 200.6% in Q2-15.
