Kuwait’s money supply falls in November

Kuwait-Mubasher: The money supply in Kuwait reached KWD 33.5 billion in November 2015, showing a decrease of 1.17% as compared to October, according to Kuwait’s central bank.

Claims on the private sector edged 0.6% up to KWD 34.5 billion in November as compared to KWD 34.28 billion in the previous month.

On a monthly basis, the government deposits grew 4.4% to KWD 5.7 billion from KWD 5.6 billion.

Credit facilities rose by 0.6% to KWD 32.57 billion in November as compared to a month earlier, and grew 6.7% on an annual basis.

Deposits of the private sector in Kuwait’s local banks retreated for the second month in a row by 0.44% to KWD 28.87 billion, and dropped 1.66% annually as compared to the same period of 2014 when it hit KWD 29.36 billion.
