Mubasher: The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) announced that the money supply (M2) in Kuwait increased by 3.4% in February 2018 compared to the same month in 2017, according to the latest official data.
Kuwait’s money supply grew to KWD 36.95 billion ($123.29 billion) in February 2018 from KWD 35.73 billion ($119.22 billion) in the same month in 2017.
On a monthly basis, monthly supply (M2) grew by 0.7% when compared to KWD 36.99 billion in January 2018.
Cash in Kuwaiti Dinar increased by 7% in February 2018 on an annual basis.
Net foreign assets in the banking sector in Kuwait shrank by 3.5% in February 2018 to KWD 16.33 billion.
