Kuwait's non-oil exports grows 30% YoY in April

Mubasher: Kuwait's non-oil exports increased by 30% year-on-year in April, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported on Saturday.

Total exports of the GCC country reached KWD 12.3 million ($40 million) last month, compared with KWD 8.8 million (about $28.8 million) a year earlier.

Kuwaiti exports to Arab countries, excluding the GCC states, recorded KWD 5.1 million ($16.7 million), while exports to non-Arab countries hit KWD 5.3 million ($17.4 million).

In April, the country’s exports to the GCC registered KWD 1.9 million ($6.2 million).

“Iraq came first in Arab countries importing Kuwaiti products, followed by Jordan, Lebanon, Algeria, Yemen, Egypt, and Morocco. For the GCC states, Saudi Arabia came first, followed by Qatar, UAE, Oman, and Bahrain,” KUNA said.
