Kuwait-Mubasher: Oil revenues in Kuwait reached KWD 608 million ($2 billion) in January, said Kuwait’s finance ministry.
The ministry added on its account on Twitter that the overall salaries payment stood at KWD 800 million ($2.6 billion).
Crude oil prices decreased to $25 per barrel in January, causing the oil revenues to fall.
The country’s deficit reached KWD 192 million ($633 million) in January after overall revenues retreated to KWD 608 million.
Kuwait is seventh largest country in terms of oil reserves which are estimated at 101.5 billion barrels, as well as 5 billion barrels in the joint fields with Saudi Arabia.
