Kuwait’s oil workers end 3-day strike

Kuwait-Mubasher: The strike launched by oil and gas workers in the Kuwaiti public sector on Sunday has come to an end, according to a statement on Wednesday morning by Kuwait Oil and Petrochemical Industries Union.

Kuwait’s oil output halved during the strike.

The early morning statement posted on Twitter clarified that oil workers will resume their work on Wednesday.

It is notable that the strike broke off hours after the Kuwaiti oil minister rejected to negotiate with the workers until they halt their strike, at the time that the union said “thousands of workers will continue the strike until the government cancels its plan for decreasing wages in the public sector.”
