Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of the Kuwaiti bourse gained 0.61% or 32.16 points to close at 5,262.07 points on Thursday.
The weighted index grew 0.64% or 2.31 points to 363.39 points. Similarly, KSX 15 index rose by 0.53% or 4.5 points to 857.74 points.
Today’s liquidity rose by 64% to KWD 16.68 million, as trading volume increased by 60% to 187.95 million shares.
The telecom sector topped the gainers by a 1.85% rise, backed by Ooredoo which levelled up 4.92%.
Meanwhile, the insurance sector headed the decliners with a 0.68% drop, dragged down by Warba Insurance which lost 3.51%.
Gulf Franchising Holding was the top winner as it rose 10.42%, while Umm Al Qaiwain Cement Industries led the losers by a decline of 7.69%.
Zima Holding was the most active as 13.23 million shares were traded Meanwhile NBK which recorded the highest liquidity, that is nearly KWD 2.9 million.
