Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) went up 0.42% or 22.34 points to close at 5,395.51 points in the week ended 12 May as compared to 5,373.17 points in the previous week.
The weighted index inched up 0.03%, while KSX 15 index retreated 1%.
Despite rising, the exchange ran into profit-taking and faced selling pressures this week, while the reporting season is coming to an end, said technical analyst Nawaf Al-Oun.
KSE’s trading value increased to KWD 592.84 million as compared to KWD 498.82 million in the past week. The trading volume grew to 51.89 million shares, up from 42.21 million shares a week ago.
The market cap gained 0.04% or KWD 9 million to reach KWD 25.073 billion as compared to KWD 25.064 billion in the previous week.
