Kuwait’s surplus with Japan posts 8-month low

Kuwait-Mubasher: The trade surplus of Kuwait with Japan has narrowed 67.6% annually to reach JPY 21.2 billion ($203 million) in January as compared with the same month of 20106, shrinking for the eighth month as exports fell more than half, Kuwait News Agency said according to the finance ministry.

Meanwhile, Kuwait’s overall exports to Japan plummeted 54.2 % year-on-year to JPY 41.0 billion ($360 million) for the eighth straight monthly decline.

Also, imports from Japan retreated 1.4% to JPY 17.9 billion ($157 million), down for the first time in eight months.
