Kuwait to compensate citizens for higher fuel prices

Kuwait – Mubasher: Representatives of the Kuwaiti government and members of the National Assembly agreed in Wednesday’s meeting to liberate fuel prices.

The meeting resulted in giving Kuwaiti citizens 75 litres of fuel as an in kind subsidy and compensation which amounts to nearly KWD 8 ($26) per month, National Assembly member Abdullah Al-Mayouf said on his twitter account.

Early August, Kuwait announced lifting oil prices by over 60% with a periodical price evaluation every three months.
