Kuwait to complete world’s longest bridge in April

Mubasher: Kuwait is set to complete the world's longest bridge, which links Kuwait City to Subiyah New Town across Kuwait Bay, in April.

The total cost of the 48.53-kilometre bridge implemented by South Korean Hyundai Engineering and Construction amounts to $2.6 billion, Arabian Business reported.

In November 2013, Hyundai won the project along with a local company.

The bridge, which is about 7km longer than Haiwan Bridge in China, is considered the largest civil engineering project implemented by a Korean contractor since the waterway order from Libya in 1984.
