Mubasher: Kuwait has already spent more than $60 billion on developing various sectors in line with the projects envisaged in Kuwait Vision 2035.
The Kuwaiti government is currently executing a chain of mega venture, according to finance minister Nayef Al-Hajraf.
Information technology, communications, energy, construction and housing, are the main sectors in which Kuwait has been investing in the past few years, the minister indicated in his keynote speech at the inaugural session of the Kuwaiti-Sino Investment Forum, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
“Our approach is clear… where it is aspired to be in the lead of renewable and sustainable energy producers, developer of the infrastructure and the human capital,” the minister indicated said, noting that more than $100 billion will be invested in these development ventures by 2035, as the government development strategy focuses on overhauling infrastructure.
