Kuwait-Mubasher: The Kuwaiti Dinar has increased in value against euro and British pound in 2015, while it declined against Swiss franc and Japanese yen, according to a report issued by AlJoman Center for Economic Consultancy.
Meanwhile, the US dollar rose 3.6% against the Kuwaiti dinar in 2015 to 305.05 fils from 294.35 fils, an increase of 10.7 fils against $1.
The decision taken by Kuwait’s central bank to decrease the value of the Kuwaiti dinar by 2.9% in 2015 was based on the assumption that the US dollar forms 75% from the currency basket based on which the exchange rate for the Kuwaiti dinar is fixed, a scenario which ran near estimates according to AlJoman.
