Kuwait-Mubasher: Kuwait Oil Company said that its refineries produced about 510,000 barrels on the second day of an all-out strike by petroleum workers of state-owned firms in fear that government plans of pay reforms are unfavourable.

The contingency plan set by the KOC does not require higher refinery output, but rather fixed production, said Khaled Saleh Al-Asousi, deputy CEO of support services at Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC).

State-owned KOC’s refining production saw a decline of as much as 44% to reach an average of between 920,000 and 930,000 barrels per day before the strike which began on Sunday.
