Kuwaiti banks’ loans hit KWD 22.6m in February

Mubasher: Total loans in Kuwaiti banks reached KWD 22.6 million ($73 million) in February, including real estate loans, women's loans, grants, and portfolio.

Loans also included KWD 1.1 million advances for constructions for KWD 14.8 million government lands, according to the Kuwait Credit Bank (KCB).

“The expansion and restoration of private housing provided loans worth KWD 172,000 while the expansion and restoration of government housing loans amounted to KWD one million,” KUNA reported on Saturday, citing the KCB. 

In February, Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) reported that its assets slightly decreased by 0.7% month-on-month in January 2019, recording KWD 10.862 billion.
