Kuwait – Mubasher: The main index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) ended Monday’s trading session down 0.42% or 22.04 points to reach 5,287.11 points.

Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.59% and 0.65% respectively.

The decision of dissolving the national assembly of Kuwait will have no strong impact on KSE’s performance as the market is likely to maintain its trend in line with the GCC stock markets, capital market analyst Ibrahim Al-Filkawy said.

The financial services sector led eight decliners with a fall of 1.65%, dragged by Gulf North Africa Holding which lost 7.7%.

The real estate sector went down 0.84% in line with the 9.1% fall of First Dubai which led the losers.

KSE’s banks sector fell 0.82% on the fall of eight shares led by NBK that levelled down 1.7%.

Meanwhile, the industrial segment topped three gainers with a growth of 0.83%.

Turnover soared 174.7% to KWD 13.98 million as trading volume increased 42.1% to 76.7 million shares.
