Kuwait-Mubasher: The benchmark index of Kuwait Stock Exchange levelled down 0.55%or 29.42 points to close at 5357.62 points on Tuesday.
The weighted index fell by 0.57% or 2.09 points to reach 363.21 points. The Kuwait-15 index lost 0.65% or 5.58 points to approach 852.36 points.
Liquidity dropped 35.2% to stand at KWD 8.91 million, as trading volume decreased by 37.6% to 60.61 million shares.
The industrial sector headed the decliners with a decrease of 1.09%, followed by the financial services and banks sectors which retreated by 0.75% and 0.74%, respectively.
The technology sector topped the gainers by adding 0.15%, followed by oil and gas which grew 0.13%. Meanwhile, the consumer services ended down 0.05%.
Metal and Recycling was the top loser after slumping 19%, while Mashaer led the winners with an 8.16% leap.
Al Dar National Real Estate was the most active stock as 6.13 million shares were traded with a value of about KWD 129,800. However, the stock retreated 2.27%.
Zain recorded the highest turnover of nearly KWD 980,400 as 2.88 million shares were exchanged. The stock marginally fell by 1.5%.
