Kuwaiti bourse closes in red zone Thursday

Kuwait – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Kuwaiti bourse inched down 0.03% or 1.74 points to close at 5,471.88 points on Thursday. Similarly, the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices fell 0.38% and 0.40% respectively.

Liquidity shrank 28.3% to KWD 4.42 million, with trading volume decreasing 8.8% to 47.45 million shares.

The telecom sector led seven decliners by 0.61%, dragged by Ooredoo which lost 3.8%.

Meanwhile, the health care sector topped five gainers by 1.9%, on the back of Safwan which rose 12% to top the winners.

National real Estate (NREC) was the most active stock on which 4.74 million shares were exchanged through 38 transactions with liquidity worth about KWD 373,710. The stock settled at 79 fils.

NBK recorded the highest liquidity that stood at approximately KWD 701,660 after 1.17 million shares were exchanged. The stock fell 1.67% to 590 fils.
