Kuwaiti bourse closes in red zone amid low liquidity

Kuwait-Mubasher: The main index of Kuwait’s stock market levelled down 0.06% or three points to close at 5,259.12 points on Sunday.

The weighted index retreated by 0.99% or 3.61 points to 359.78 points. Also, KSX 15 index fell 1.34% or 11.5 points to 846.21 points.

The market lost 17.9% of its trading value that stood at KWD 13.7 million, as trading volume decreased by 2.6% to 183.01 million shares.

KSE’s technology sector led the gainers by a rise of 2.25%, as Osos stock gained 6.25%.

The telecom sector headed the decliners by a decline of 1.88% after Ooredoo retreated 6.25%.

Kuwait Cable was the top winner with a rise of 10.42%, while Marakez which decreased 7.02% became the biggest disappointment.

Al Dar Naional was the most active as 64.83 million shares were traded.

KFH recorded the highest turnover which exceeded KWD 2.1 million.
