Kuwaiti bourse closes in red zone

Kuwait-Mubasher: The benchmark index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) retreated 0.18% or 9.37 points to close at 5,131.59 points on Sunday.

The weighted index gained 0.58% or 2.03 points to reach 351.86 points. KSX 15 index levelled up 0.74% or 6.05 points to reach 828.94 points.

Today’s trading value declined 36.13% to KWD 7.27 million, as trading volume decreased 28.9% to 107.26 million shares.

The telecom sector topped the gainers by adding 1.83%, while the technology sector led the decliners after losing 2.98%.

Ooredoo stock topped the winners as it grew 9.43%, while Automated Systems headed the losers with a decline of 8.47%.

Ithmaar Bank was the most active stock as 19.98 million shares were traded with a value of about KWD 644,460.

KFH recorded the highest turnover of above KWD 920,000 after 1.9 million shares were exchanged.
