Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait’s stock market rose by 0.25% or 13.8 points to close at 5,616.18 points on Tuesday.
The weighted index inched up 0.08% or 0.3 points to reach 381.58 points. Also, the Kuwait-15 index grew 0.06% or 0.54 points to 903.25 points.
Today’s trading value fell 6% to KWD 15.05 million as trading volume decreased 4.2% to 99.75 million shares which were exchanged through 2,898 transactions.
The basic materials sector topped the gainers by adding 0.98%, while oil and gas, which dipped 1.31%, led the decliners.
Al-Madina was the top winner with 7.46% growth, while Kuwait Cable was the worst as it slumped 10%.
Investors was the most active stock as 16.15 million shares were exchanged through 196 deals, with a value of about KWD 408,000. The stock rose by 6.3%.
Viva recorded the highest turnover of KWD 4.6 million, after 237 transactions were executed for 4.6 million shares. The stock settled at KWD 1.
