Kuwaiti bourse down midsession; better speculative bets foreseen

Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) lost 32.9 points to reach 5,590.8 points by mid-session on Sunday.

The weighted index fell by 2.1 points to 379.3 points, and the Kuwiat-15 index retreated 5 points to settle at 897.2 points.

KSE’s benchmark index is facing resistance at 5625, 5629, and 5634 points respectively, technical analyst Faisal Boushahri said, adding that the support levels are 5,611 and 5,605 points respectively.

The analyst forecasted Sunday’s trading session to “positive” speculative trades.

Trading value stood at KWD 5.34 million, after 32.14 million shares were exchanged through 1,057 transactions.

National International Holding topped the winners by adding 5.08%, while Al-Massaleh Real Estate led the losers by a drop of 8.5%.

Al-Madina was the most active stock in terms of volume as 5.35 million shares were traded, however, the stock fell by 7.04%.

NBK recorded the highest trading value of KWD 2.6 million, settling at 810 fils.
