Kuwaiti bourse ends Sunday lower

Kuwait – Mubasher: The indices of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) ended Sunday’s trading session in the red zone, dragged by seven sectors.

The main index retreated 0.13%or 7.03 points to close at 5,390.82 points. Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices fell 1.15% or 1.78%.

Liquidity shrank 30.7% to KWD 9.56 million, after trading volume decreased 43.2% to 61 million shares.

The oil and gas sector led seven decliners with 1.54%, dragged by Independent Petroleum Group (IPG) which lost 6.33%.

The telecom sector lost 1% on the fall of Zain which dropped 4.9%.

Meanwhile, the real estate sector topped three gainers with 0.54%, on the back of Sokouk Holding which was the top winner.

Zain was the most active stock on which 13.22 million shares were traded at the highest turnover of KWD 5.24 million. The stock retreated 4.9% to 390 fils.
