Kuwaiti bourse ends Thursday’s session mixed

Kuwait – Mubasher: Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) ended the first session of September with a mixed performance.

The price index was down 0.19% or 10.47 points to close at 5,409.21 points on Thursday, the weighted index lost 0.10%, while Kuwait-15 gained 0.43%.

KSE’s liquidity shrank 58.4% to KWD 2.81 million, while trading volume decreased 48.4% to 31.5 million shares.

The consumer goods sector led five decliners by 1.4%, dragged by Danah which lost 6.73%. Meanwhile, the consumer services sector topped four gainers by 0.35%.

Gulf Franchising Holding was the top winner by a growth of 6.7%.

Kuwait Real Estate was the most active stock on which 4.73 million shares were exchanged through 55 transactions at a value of nearly KWD 236,300. The stock closed at 51 fils.

KFH recorded the highest turnover that stood at nearly KWD 321,700 after 700,000 shares were traded. The stock ended the session at 460 fils.
