Kuwaiti bourse falls to 11-year low at open

Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) fell by 2.24% or 118 points at 10:00am Kuwait time to settle at 5,147.94 points on Sunday, the lowest level in 11 years.

The weighted index levelled 3.04% or 10.81 points down to 344.58 points. The Kuwait-15 index fell by 3.41% or 28.26 points to reach 800.12 points.

Turnover amounted to KWD 8 million, as 46 million shares were exchanged through 1,265 transactions.

Acico Industries and KGL Logistics were among the winners as they added 5.26% and 3.13%, respectively.

Safwan Trading and Contracting led the losers with a drop of 14.06%.Mayadeen came in as the second decliner after losing 13.51%, followed by Investors which dived 11.9%.

KFH was the most active stock as 1.62 million shares were traded, while NBK recorded the highest turnover of KWD 1.7 million.
