Kuwaiti bourse reaches red zone at close

Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait’s stock market ended Monday at 5,348.14 points, after levelling down 0.51% or 27.6 points. Both the weighted and the Kuwait-15 indices fell by 0.24% and 0.27% respectively.

Today’s trading value increased by 11.8% to KWD 11.87 million, while trading volume decreased by 39.1% to 78.92 million shares.

The health care sector topped the gainers by 0.76%, while the technology sector led the decliners by 1.43%.

Kuwait Cable Vision was the top winner by 6.4%, while Marakez headed the losers by 10.2%.

Petrogulf was the most active stock on which 9.5 million shares were exchanged at a value of nearly KWD 440,000. The stock closed at 45.5 fils.

NBK recorded the highest liquidity which totalled KWD 5.6 million, as 8.54 million shares were traded. The stock reached 660 fils.
