Kuwaiti bourse’s benchmark index closes in decline

Kuwait-Mubasher: The benchmark index of Kuwait’s stock market ended Thursday at 5,788.74 points, retreating by 0.27% or 15.83 points.

The weighted index rose 0.62% or 2.42 points to close at 394.11 points. Also, the Kuwait-15 index levelled up 1.32% or 12.25 points to reach 939.12 points.

Zain and KFH grew 2.78% and 1.75% respectively.

Today’s turnover stood at KWD 8.19 million, as 94.6 million shares were traded through 2,441 transactions.

Sector-wise, health care posted a 3.95% drop, while telecom topped the gainers by adding 1.53%.

Shares of 128 instruments were traded, where there were 33risers, 50 fallers  and 45 remained unchanged.

White Cement topped the winners as it jumped 9.26%, while AL Qurain Holding led the losers by falling 17.65%.

GFH was the most active stock in terms of volume as 18.7 million shares were traded, while Zain recorded the highest traded value of about KWD 901,800.
