Kuwait – Mubasher: The indices of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) inched up 0.08% or 4.33 points to end Wednesday’s trading session at 5,495.63 points.
Meanwhile, the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated by 0.53% and 0.76% respectively.
The oil and gas sector was the top gainer with 0.93% on the back of Senergy which gained 7.8%, and the telecom segment grew by 0.75% in line with the 2.33% rise of Viva.
The real estate sector levelled up 0.47%, endorsed by the 10.53% jump of Abyaar which was the top winner.
Meanwhile, the banks sector led the decliners with a fall of 1%, dragged by AUB Kuwait, KFH, and Warba which lost 3.6%, 1.9%, and 1.82% respectively.
KSE’s trading value shrank by 17.7% to KWD 16.89 million, while trading volume increased by 14% to 144.88 million shares.
Abyaar was the most active stock on which 15.52 million shares were traded.
NBK recorded the highest trading value of KWD 3 million.
