Kuwaiti bourse’s indices fall amid low liquidity

Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait Stock Exchange retreated by 0.12% or 6.06 points to close at 5,201.86 points on Monday.

The weighted index levelled down 0.05% or 0.19 points to reach 355.78 points. Also, the KSX 15 index dropped 0.23% to close at 836.6 points.

Today’s liquidity declined to KWD 11.39 million as trading volume decreased by 11.9% to 178.77 million shares.

The telecom sector was the strongest player, ending higher 2.36%, backed by Viva which gained 5.05%.

The industrial sector topped the decliners by a fall of 0.94%, dragged by Humansoft which edged down by 7.81%.

AL Safat Energy was the most valuable stock after rising by 16.67%.

Investors Group posted the highest trading volume after 29 million shares were traded. The stock levelled up 2.22%.

NBK recorded the highest liquidity which reached more than KWD 2 million, as 3.14 million shares were traded. However, the stock fell by 1.54% to 640 fils.
