Kuwaiti bourse’s indices see grouped decline at close

Kuwait-Mubasher: The main index of Kuwait’s stock market lost 0.73% or 39 points to end Thursday’s session at 5,324.05 points.  Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 1.41% and 1.65% respectively.

Today’s liquidity shrank 1.5% to KWD 10.91 million, as trading volume decreased by 4.1% to 123.93 million shares.

The consumer services sector headed the decliners by 2.24%, dragged by Kuwait National Cinema which dropped by 15.4% to top the losers.

Both the consumer goods and basic materials sectors were in the green zone by 0.49% and 0.05% respectively.

Hilal Cement was the top winner by a growth of 7.5% to 144 fils, as 90 shares were traded with a value of KWD 13.

Hits Telecom was the most active stock on which 16.2 million shares were exchanged with a value of nearly KWD 562,600. The stock retreated by 4.3% to 33.5 fils.

KFH recorded the highest liquidity which stood at 1.86 million, as 3.91 million shares were traded. The stock fell by 2.08% to 470 fils.
