Kuwaiti bourse sees mixed performance in mid-session

Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait Stock Exchange retreated 0.28% or 16 points to settle at 5,596.57 points during the mid-session on Thursday.

Also, the weighted index inched down 0.03% or 0.1 points to reach 381.74 points.

Meanwhile, Kuwait-15 index grew 0.22% or 2 points to approach 904.29 points.

The benchmark index still has resistance at 5,615 points, followed by 5657 and 5660 points respectively, said technical analyst Nawaf Al-Oun.

He added that the support level is 5594 points which will be followed by 5575, 5560, and 5510 points, respectively.

Turnover reached KWD 2.5 million, after 26 million shares were exchanged through 745 transactions.

Safwan Trading and Contracting topped the winners by adding 6.7%, while Kuwait and Middle East Financial Investment (KMEFIC) led the losers as it decreased 7.4%.

GFH was the most active stock as 5.8 million shares were traded, while Boubyan Bank posted the largest liquidity of about KWD 633,200.
