Kuwaiti bourse starts Sunday in red zone

Kuwait – Mubasher: The indices of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) started Sunday’s trading session with a grouped decline.

KSE’s price index retreated 0.28% or 14.96 points to reach 5,313.04 points by 10am Kuwait time. Both the Kuwait-15 and the weighted indices fell 0.48% and 0.38% respectively.

Turnover stood at KWD 1.20 million after 18.86 million shares were exchanged through 495 transactions.

The industrial sector led the decliners with a fall of 0.47%, while the insurance segment topped the gainers with a growth of 0.24%.

UPAC was the top loser with 7.6%, while Kuwait and Gulf Link Transport topped the winners with 3.33%.

Hits Telecom was the most active stock on which 6,700 shares were traded at a value of about KWD 242,170. The stock levelled up 2.9% to 35.5 fils.
