Kuwaiti bourse starts session in red zone

Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait’s stock market leveled down 0.44% or 23.05 points to settle at 5,205.7 points at 9:30 am Kuwait local time on Sunday.

The weighted index fell by 1.01% or 3.64 points to reach 356.18 points. Similarly, the KSX 15 index fell by 1.27% or 10.79 points to 839.71 points.

The market’s liquidity reached KWD 2.6 million, after 36.3 million shares were exchanged through 785 transactions.

Marakez was the top winner by a rise of 6.25%, while Kuwait Insurance led the losers by an 8.06% drop.

Kuwait Real Estate was the most active as 5.64 million shares were traded, generating about KWD 278,100. However, the stock fell by 7.55%.

NBK recorded the highest turnover with nearly KWD 829,200 after 1.27 million shares were exchanged. The stock retreated by 3%.
