Kuwaiti bourse starts session in red zone

Kuwait-Mubasher: The benchmark index of Kuwait’s stock market started Sunday’s session falling 0.26% or 14 points to settle at 5,286.67 points at 9:30 am.

The weighted index retreated 0.121% or 0.76 points to reach 364.3 points; also, Kuwait-15 edged down 0.09% or 0.74 points to 862.4 points.

Liquidity reached KWD 2.73 million as trading volume stood at 41.8 million shares which were exchanged through 965 transactions.

First Dubai topped the winners by 3.77%, while Ikarus led the losers by 7.94%.

AL Mal Investment was the most active stock on which 5.16 million shares were traded with a value worth about KWD 176,600. The stock rose by 1.45%.

Kuwait Investment recorded the highest liquidity that reached nearly KWD 287,700 after 2.4 million shares were exchanged. The stock gained 1.64%.
