Kuwaiti crude exports to Japan scale 7M high

Kuwait-Mubasher: Kuwait has exported 9.93 million barrels of crude oil to Japan in December, recording the highest level in seven months. The average daily production was 320,000 barrels, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

Thus, Kuwait remains Japan's third-biggest crude oil provider.

Although Kuwait's crude oil bound for Japan fell 2.5% from a year earlier, the figure was the highest since May, when it recorded 10.89 million barrels (351,000 bpd),” according to a preliminary report released from the Japanese Natural Resources and Energy Agency, and quoted by KUNA.

During 2015, Kuwait's exports to the world's third-biggest energy user stood at 91.30 million barrels (250,000 bpd), up 2.3% from 2014.

Japan's overall imports of crude oil declined 1.3% year-on-year to 3.51 million bpd for the first drop in two months. Saudi Arabia remained Japan's first supplier of oil.
