Mubasher: The Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah has issued on Sunday a decision to dissolve the parliament, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
The decision was taken after a cabinet extraordinary meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, where a draft decree dissolving the country’s National Assembly was approved and referred to the Emir.
The Kuwaiti Emir has approved the decision due to the escalating regional developments, and the serious requirements to face them, which necessitated referring to the people, the source of all powers, to elect representatives who can express their will, and who can take part in countering these challenges, KUNA reported.
