Mubasher: The land and property management of Kuwait’s finance ministry on Sunday announced collecting KWD 100 million as fees charged on companies and individuals owning vacant lands for private housing.
This comes within the Kuwaiti financial reform program, which aims at enhancing non-oil revenue.
Collecting such fees during the past three years resulted in increasing total tax revenue by 56% to reach KWD 225.8 million in 2016, which is the highest in the Kuwaiti tax’s history.
