Kuwait-Mubasher: The Kuwaiti draft law of pay scale, presented as "strategic alternative", will have no impact on employees of the oil sector in Kuwait on any level, said Anas Al-Saleh, deputy prime minister, finance and acting oil minister, according to Kuwait News Agency.
All sectors are equally important to the Kuwaiti government, Al-Saleh clarified.
The proposed law aims to "rationalise spending", as the draft law is currently being studied by a specialised parliamentary committee, he added.
The minister called on the oil sector to negotiate with the government over the law's articles, Al-Saleh said during the National Assembly's follow-up session on Wednesday.
