Kuwaiti gauges open new year’s 1st session in green

Kuwait – Mubasher: The Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) kicked off Monday’s trading, first session in 2016, in positive territory, as its indices rose collectively at morning.

The Price Index inched up 0.09% or 5 points to 5,620.13, the Weighted Index moved up 0.11% to 382.12 points and the Kuwait-15 Index rose 0.1% or 0.9 point to the level of 901.33 points.

The Al Masaken International Real Estate Development share was the top performer with a growth of about 8.9%, while the KGL Logistics shares were the lowest after shrinking by around 3.5%.

GFH Financial Group’s trading volume was the biggest after 11.6 million shares were exchanged, whereas Ithmaar Bank was the value leader with liquidity near KWD 560,000.
