Kuwait – Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait closed Tuesday’s session at 6,778.62 points, rising by 0.45% or 30.08 points.
Similarly, the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices advanced by the same percentage of 1.02%.
Turnover increased to KWD 15.79 million from KWD 13.75 million on Monday, as trading volume also rose to 99.57 million shares from 88.09 million shares.
The telecom sector was the top gainer after rising 3.90%, backed by an increase of 5.9% in Ooredoo Kuwait.
The banks sector ascended 0.73% due to a rise of 3.4% in Ithmaar Bank, and 0.15% in National Bank of Kuwait.
On the other hand, the oil and gas sector declined 0.79% as Energy House Holding, the top loser, fell 8.5%.
The consumer goods sector shrank 0.33%, dragged by a drop of 4.03% in Danah Al Safat.
Al Imtiaz Investment Group was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 14.8 million shares, while Zain made the highest turnover of KWD 3.31 million.
