Kuwait – Mubasher: The price index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) rose at Thursday’s close by 0.03% to the level of 5,409.36 points.
Meanwhile, the weighted index declined 0.25% and the Kuwait-15 index shrank 0.37%.
Trading volume decreased 14.8% to 96.29 million shares from 113.07 million shares exchanged on Wednesday, turnover also retreated 36.8% to KWD 8.2 million from KWD 12.97 million.
The banks sector rose by 0.70%, backed by an increase of 7.7% in Ithmaar Bank and 1.9% in Warba Bank.
The real estate sector grew 0.55% as Kuwait Remal Real Estate led the green list by adding 10% and Al Aqaria rose 9.52%.
On the flipside, the telecom sector declined 1.9%, pressured by the fall in Ooredoo by 3.64%.
The financial services sector dropped 0.71% as Kuwait and Middle East Financial Investment led decliners after falling by 9.9%.
Bank Ithmaar made the biggest trading volume activity of 11.8 million shares, while Warba Bank made the highest liquidity of KWD 1.54 million.
